Software Engineer by day, physicist by training, relentless learner always. I operate across the full stack with the same rigor I brought to astrophysics research: precise, thoughtful, and never satisfied with "good enough."
I've spent my career moving between worlds that don't usually overlap and finding that the patterns are more alike than you'd think.
B.S. in Physics and Mathematics. Later pursued graduate work in cosmology and astrophysics, studying galaxy clusters, dark energy, and publishing peer-reviewed research.
Over a decade shipping production software. From .NET and AngularJS to Python and PostgreSQL. I've mastered every layer of the stack and set the engineering standard wherever I land.
I set code quality standards, shape engineering culture, and make product-minded decisions that move the business forward.
Led multiple open source repositories for the Rubin Observatory LSST DESC collaboration, building tools used by researchers worldwide to study the universe.
The short version.
Built a deep foundation in problem solving, mathematical reasoning, computational methods, and the kind of disciplined thinking that carries into everything I do.
Mastered the entire stack at a SaaS software startup using .NET, C#, JavaScript, AngularJS, SQL Server. The go-to for architecture decisions and hard problems.
Studied galaxy clusters and dark energy while serving as a staff software engineer for the Rubin Observatory LSST DESC Collaboration. Published a first-author paper, and led the development of the open source tools Firecrown and TJPCov.
The technical cornerstone of a new startup. Backend-focused with top-tier expertise in PostgreSQL, C#, and Python. I shape the product direction, set the standards, and elevate the entire team.
My graduate research focused on galaxy clusters and the computational tools needed to analyze large-scale cosmological surveys.
Developed statistical likelihood pipelines, imaging pipelines, and reusable frameworks for cosmological parameter estimation. Refactored and ran simulation code on high-performance computing clusters.
Co-authored multiple additional publications as part of the broader DES collaboration.

An iOS app for tracking vehicle maintenance, fuel economy, and ownership costs. Built with Swift and SwiftData.
App Store → Landing Page →A 100% private medication tracking app. Log doses, set reminders, and review history — all stored locally on device.
App Store → Landing Page →Outside of work I build things with my hands — woodworking, electronics, 3D printing. I live in Columbus, OH with my wife, our dog, and our cat.
